DENTAXON AXO PEX

DENTAXON AXO PEX is a premixed, radiopaque paste containing Calcium Hydroxide and Iodoform. It is primarily designed as a resorbable root canal filling material for primary (deciduous) teeth. It is also used as a temporary root canal dressing in permanent teeth for various endodontic treatments.

The key feature of AXO PEX is that it is resorbable . This is critically important in pediatric dentistry. When a primary (baby) tooth is ready to fall out, its root naturally resorbs to make way for the permanent tooth underneath. A root canal filling material used in a primary tooth must resorb at a similar rate. If a non-resorbable material like gutta-percha were used, it would remain in the bone after the tooth root has dissolved, potentially interfering with the eruption of the permanent tooth
